Our Story
Grey Matlock Bakery is a family owned bakery business established in 2018. We set out to provide a home away from home taste in Canada for all African Caribbean in Ontario, this provide the opportunity to enjoy quality, fresh and home taste traditional Agege bread and birthday cakes at an affordable price, hence the birth of “The real AGEGE bread”.
We strive to become a corporate brand of quality standard in the bakery/confectionery industry in Canada, offering quality and home taste bakery product to the satisfaction of Nigerians, Caribbean and other Africans in Ontario. Our startup plan is to have a strong network of reliable distributors across Toronto while expanding to other parts of Canada.
Grey Matlock Bakery
Our bakery has grown significantly since its inception. It now distributes its bread to over 300 Afro-Caribbean stores and more than 50 outlets of large supermarket chains such as No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and Loblaws across Canada. Grey Matlock Bakery operates two main bakeries, one in Brampton and another in Calgary, which supply bread to provinces like Quebec, New Brunswick, Manitoba, and British Columbia. Additionally, the company has franchised four locations in Ontario to meet growing demand
